My name is Danielle Lovejoy. I'm from the only state entirely covered by the Appalachian Mountains: West Virginia. I'm a first-generation college student who's currently working toward a Bachelors of Arts in English. I have been writing as an emotional outlet since I was 8, first beginning with short-form poetry, and now writing several genres. I most often write young adult literature and poetry, but I also write short stories, children's books, and hope to publish a cookbook one day. I have many unpublished works under revision currently.
"Thoughts of a Catalyst" is a brand that I created several years ago. A catalyst, by the most basic definition, is something that ignites change. I have never been afraid of change, and I have designated myself as a catalyst for ending years of generational trauma. I want to be the mother who has overcome her own trauma to ensure my son does not have a childhood he has to heal from. I am a mother by pure chance after battling infertility for four and a half years and being told for over ten years that I would never be able to have children. I married my high school sweetheart and together we have a son, Elliot, and three rescue hound dogs.
